February’s Farsley Farmers Market is set to be a hoot as Wise Owl Rescue are due to host an outside static display (subject to weather conditions), writes Keely Bannister.

Being held this coming Saturday 22 February with a 9am start, the market is once again fully booked with traders ready to sell their wares until the 12,30pm finish.

Local favourites such as Pudsey’s Cabbage Patch Bakery will be returning to hold a stall along with first timers including Sushu Doughnuts, who make a range of handmade gifts featuring cute anime characters, and UBMacca who create bags and more from pre-loved garments.

Plants will also be available to purchase whilst a book sale will raise funds for Friends of St John’s Church.

Farsley Farmers Market is held monthly at St John’s Church

So whether you wish to stock up on some fresh produce, get your mum an early Mother’s Day gift or just pop down for a warm cuppa and friendly chat, there will be something for everyone.

As always, the market is being held at St John’s Church on New Street and is family friendly with dogs welcome.

The grounds and church are fully accessible with a ramp provided and accessible toilets in the church. Attached to the church is an adult Changing Place toilet.

Early birds may find free on-street parking on Farsley’s Town Street. There is extra parking available in the lower part of the Go Outdoors car park situated further up New Street. The market is serviced by the number 9, 16 and 508 bus routes which drop outside the church.

You can keep up to date with Farsley Farmers Market on Facebook and Twitter.

If you are attending the market on Saturday, please share your thoughts and pictures with us by tagging us in your social media posts – whether that’s a Facebook post, a Tweet or an Instagram.

  1. Great write up and thanks for mentioning the #changingplace loo!
Sadly the weather was against us and Wise Owl Rescue found the conditions unsuitable. Hope to rebook them later in the year!
