West Leeds residents can have a say on how local NHS services are run and where tax payers’ money was spent at an annual event next week.

NHS Leeds Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) Partnership is inviting members of the public to its Annual General Meeting.

The CCG partnership covers the three NHS bodies in Leeds responsible for planning and funding the majority of health services for people in Leeds, including local GP surgeries like the one pictured above. The partnership is made of the three Leeds CCGs, including NHS Leeds West.

At the AGM the three CCGs’ annual reports will be formally accepted. People will be able to read the joint annual review covering the key achievements and challenges faced by the commissioning bodies.

Philomena Corrigan, Chief Executive for the NHS Leeds Clinical Commissioning Groups Partnership, said:

“The AGM is a chance for members of the public to find out how the three Leeds CCGs have performed over the past year. You will also hear about NHS Leeds CCGs Partnership future plans to meet the needs of our local communities in the future. Members of the public will have the opportunity to address our Governing Body and ask any questions.

“We will also be presenting our annual review, which is a condensed version of the three annual reports. It includes information about how the three CCGs spent their money, case studies of our citywide work and what our patient champions programme has achieved over the past year.”

The AGM is on Wednesday, 13 September, from 2-3.30pm at Leeds Town Hall.

Anyone who is interested in attending can email lwccg.admin@nhs.net or call 0113 8435470. Those unable to attend and who would like to ask the Governing Body questions in advance should e-mail lwccg.admin@nhs.net by Monday, 11 September.
