I work for SLATE charity group, which gives opportunities to adults with learning disabilities in Leeds, writes Sam Dodds.

We’re hosting our third vintage fair, this time in Armley (they’ve previously been in Beeston) on 12th September, 10am-3pm. All welcome to attend.

slateThe Armley community are working solidly at the moment to better their town with ‘larks in the parks’, tidying up the area and encouraging play (see Good Stuff Armley on Facebook).

SLATE has just opened its third premises in Armley (the official opening by MP Rachel Reeves will be on the 18th September).

To contribute to Armley’s efforts and to help our volunteers, who have learnign disabilities, be more involved in the Armley community we are hosting our next vintage fair at our new shop on 44-46 Canal Street, LS12 2PL.

Our previous fairs have had a really good community spirit. This time we will have a range of vintage stalls, free sewing class, pop up tearooms and lots of fun.
