Gotts Mansion Cafe at Gotts Park Golf Course invites you to a Halloween disco party between 11am and 3pm on Saturday 28th October with haunted music, fancy dress competition, apple bobbing, pumpkin carving and Halloween crafts. Booking is essential and you can book on 07891277006.
On Sunday the 29th Armley Conservative Club on Theaker Lane hosts its Kids Halloween party between 2pm and 6pm. There’ll be a fancy dress contest, pumpkin carving competition and fun and games and food.
Bramley parkrun and junior parkrun will have their annual fancy dress runs on Saturday 28th at 9am for the adults and over 14’s, followed by junior parkrun at 9am on Sunday 29th. And as an added incentive there will be cake.
At the Abbey Inn there’s a kids party on Saturday 28th October between and 2pm and 4pm followed by adult fancy dress party in the evening. Live music from popular local duo Harry and Benny from 9pm.
Bramley Villagers Club is hosting a childrens Halloween party on Sunday 29th October between 2pm and 5pm. Entry is £2 per child and entertainment includes disco, games and prizes for fancy dress.
The Rainbow Factory has a Not-So-Spooky Halloween special on October 31st from 10am to 3pm. There’ll be a range of activities for ages 2-11 including Day of the Dead Sugar Skull making, wizard and witch training, face painting plus a number of free activities including storytelling, games and a Halloween quiz.
And if you are out trick or treating, Farsley Travel invites you to pop by and check out its spooky themed window and get a free bag of sweets. They will be open until 5pm on Halloween.
Kirkstall Leisure Centre has a Halloween Disco for ages 3-8 on Saturday 28th October between 3pm and 4:30pm. There will be music and traditional Halloween games. Booking is advised on 0113 3782086.
Kirkstall Abbey is hosting an interactive Halloween, the Enchanted Abbey, between 5pm and 7pm on October 31st. A chance for the kids to meet such characters as Airela the River Nymph, Smoke the dragon, Mad Abbott and all of their friends. Recommended for ages 4-11 children are encouraged to complete all of the tasks given to them by Airela and friends to receive a magic wand. Entry is £5, with accompanying adults free. Ring 07900986570 to book. There is also a scarecrow trail at Kirkstall Abbey until the 30th October. Just pick up a free trail sheet at the visitor centre and search for vampires, werewolves, wizards and witches.
And for the adults it’s Halloween Quiz Night at the West End House, on Tuesday 31st from 9pm.
There’ll be free supper, prizes for winners and beer tokens, plus Play Your Cards Right.
Dance group Dazl (Dance Action Zone Leeds) holds a Halloween showcase with groups from the West Leeds Community Dance Groups at St Johns Church Hall, Wortley, on Thursday November 1st, with doors opening at 5:30pm. The groups from Farnley, Wortley, Swinnow and Bramley have been supported by the Inner and Outer West Community Committees. Entry is £1 with the funds supporting the groups, refreshments are available and doors open at 5:30pm for a 7pm start.
Pudsey Congs Cricket Club are having a family Halloween party on Saturday 28th from 7:30 pm. Promising to be even bigger and better than last years there will be a disco room with games and competitions for kids so that the adults can relax. Fancy dress is encourages with prizes for adults and kids. There will be face painting and a kids buffet with a small charge of £5 for entry to the kids activities. Non-members welcome.
Rodley Barge invites you to its Halloween Fancy Dress Party on Saturday 28th October from 7:30pm. Music, food, fun and games with DJ Chris, a free “spirit” for everyone in fancy dress, and a special prize for the fancy dress winner.
