Pudsey Town Hall is to open its doors again to allow people to explore its many corridors and stairs.

Guided tours will be run by Pudsey & District Civic Society and attendees will be able to visit the former Pudsey Town Council chambers, which were in regular use until the council’s dissolution in 1974.

People will also be able to see the magnificent views from the top floor windows overlooking Pudsey and West Leeds.

Open day: Pudsey Town Hall.

Pudsey councillors Simon Seary and Trish Smith (Conservative) will also be using the day to canvas for ideas for potential future uses for the building, which is partly used by Leeds City Council services.

The Pudsey One Stop Shop was moved from the Town Hall to Pudsey Library three years ago.

Built in 1880 as Pudsey Mechanics Institute, the building was opened by the Prime Minister’s son Herbert Gladstone.

The event will be held on Sunday 1 March 2020 from 10am-4pm. All welcome to attend.
