DESCRIPTION:The 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War is on Thursday 8 May\, and to mark this important date\, we will be hosting an evening of commemoration in Horsforth Hall Park. The evening will begin with a walk from the Cenotaph\, outside the park\, up to the bandstand where there is a programme of entertainment planned\, tributes and quiet moments of reflection. The event will draw to a close after a beacon lighting at 9:30pm. \nWe would like to invite you all to attend this very special occasion. \n6:00pm Wreath laying at Stanhope Stone\n6:30pm Wreath laying at Cenotaph\n6:50pm March to Bandstand in Hall Park\n7:15pm Stroke of Genius band\n8:15pm Hummingbirds music\n9.30pm Lighting of beacon
