Three Rio Olympic heroes made a splash as Pudsey Leisure Centre launched a new diving lessons programme.

Synchronised springboard gold medallists Chris Mears and Jack Laugher, and Yona Knight-Wisdom all met local youngsters yesterday. Yona is also a member of the City of Leeds Diving Club with Chris and Jack and has represented Jamaica at two Olympic Games.

Also present was Aidy Hinchcliffe, head coach of the City of Leeds Diving team based at the John Charles Centre for Sport. He has played a pivotal role in the development of many world-class divers.
