Calling anyone interested in starting up a Friends of Armley Park group!
The first meeting aims to get the ball rolling in setting up a fledgling group to improve and speak up for Armley Park. Interested residents will meet tomorrow (Thursday, May 26).
Organiser Catherine Hyde says the group will meet at 6pm at the play area, but if the weather’s poor it will be in Cafe 53 opposite the park on Stanningley Road. All welcome.
The Dispatch will follow the gorup’s progress with interest – many of Leeds’ biggest parks, like Roundhay and Middleton – have ‘Friends of’ groups made up of local residents who want to promote local interest and involvement in their local parks.
