A planned new delicatessen in Bramley has applied for a license to sell alcohol.

Koala Delicatessen Limited, a Wortley company founded in June,  has made an application for the sale of alcohol from the currently vacant Unit 10 at Bramley District Centre, next to the Heart Foundation shop.

The opening hours are listed as 8.30am to 10pm seven days a week.

One local resident has already contacted The Dispatch to voice his concern. He said:

“Is this appropriate or necessary, given the proximity of various other food and drink outlets, such as Tesco, the Unicorn, and the newsagents, to name but a few?”

Comments can be made on the application until 7th September 2015.

Meanwhile, Cubic Business Centre on Stanningley Road has applied for planning permission to turn ground floor office space into a gym. And an application for a new tattoo studio in Broad Lane has also been submitted.

  1. Don’t mind a Deli, but don’t need to sell beer, we have post office and tescos, and bargain booze not to far away, will end up like Armley Town Street lads drinking on benches all day x
