Join me for a relaxing Yoga Nidra. After focusing on the breath and making some gentle and accessible movements you’ll relax on your mat and follow my voice as we move through the stages of Yoga Nidra. I am a fully qualified and experienced teacher and deliver the practice in the Satyananda tradition and am fully certified with Mandala Ashram in Wales.
You’ll find it easy to relax somewhere between the state of being awake and being asleep known as the hypnagogic state.
Yoga nidra is a meditation practice that can have many benefits, including:
Improved sleep as it can help with insomnia, and sleep deprivation.
The process can trigger a relaxation response by slowing the sympathetic nervous system and stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system. This can help reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression.
It can also lead to improved mood, confidence, and self-esteem,
cognitive function, memory and concentration by creating space in the brain.
Clinical studies have shown that yoga nidra can improve red blood cell counts, blood glucose levels, and hormonal status.
Yoga nidra can help people become more in tune with their mind, body, and environment, and can promote emotional healing.
Come and discover the benefits for yourself in this fundraiser.
