SUHAIYMAH MANZOOR-KHAN, a writer, poet, educator and activist, disrupting ideas of history, race, knowledge and violence. In 2019 Suhaiymah’s debut poetry collection “Postcolonial Banter” was published, featuring eight years worth of poetry including her viral poem “This is Not a Humanising Poem”, which placed her as runner-up of the National Roundhouse Poetry Slam in 2017 and has over two million views online. Her latest book, “Tangled in Terror: Uprooting Islamophobia”, was published with Pluto Press in 2022. Amongst others she has written for The Guardian and Independent. She has been commissioned to write plays by theatres including the Royal Court, and was recently writer in residence at Leeds Playhouse.
TOBY CAMPION is an award-winning poet, playwright, presenter and poetry educator. A former UK Poetry Slam Champion and World Poetry Slam finalist, his poetry won the Aurora Prize for Poetry 2019 and the Poetry on the Lake Prize 2017, awarded by former Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy. His debut short poetry collection, Through your blood (Burning Eye 2017), was nominated for the Polari First Book Prize and Highly Commended in the Forward Poetry Prizes 2018. His work has been featured on BBC Sunday Politics, The Arts Show with Jonathan Ross, Channel 4 and BBC Radio 4.
