Walking is a great way to improve your physical health, mental well-being, enjoy the fresh air and outdoors. It’s opportunity to discover nature and walking is fun, flexible and free.
There are fantastic public rights of way (footpaths and bridleways) in and around Leeds that you can use to explore green spaces, parks, country estates, nature reserves and surrounding countryside:

    • Dales Way Link – A 19 mile feeder route from Leeds to Ilkley

    • Ebor Way – A 70 mile walk from Helmsley to Ilkley via York.  The route passes through the northern part of the Leeds district

    • Meanwood Valley Trail – A 7-mile walking route through the Meanwood Valley to Golden Acre Park
