St John Ambulance in Leeds are recruiting community first aiders. This exciting role equips you with life saving first aid knowledge and skills allowing you to attend events as a first aider, raise awareness of the importance of first aid training, support with community engagement and fundraising.

You will receive all training required for the role, a DBS check and uniform. Out of pocket expenses are claimable in line with our expenses policy. Following your training, you will get an induction and a buddy to help you orientate yourself with the charity.
What we need from you:
– Interviews will be held on 2nd February
– Training will be held on 29th and 30th March (you need to attend both days)
– Induction will be held on 13th April
– Regular attendance at training to keep skills up to date, there are a few options across the city
– 80 hours per year of community delivery – this can include attending events as a first aider, giving demonstrations and fundraising.
Please ensure you can attend all of the above dates as part of your onboarding process.
Applications will close on 26th January but we reserve the right to close it early if we get overwhelming number of applications. If you need support completing your application, we have a recruitment event at Trinity Leeds on 18th January where we can support you with this. We will also be doing CPR and AED demos so if you would like to learn some first aid without the commitment to regular volunteering, pop along to this event (details in the below poster).
