Meet at The Abbey Inn, 99 Pollard Lane, Bramley, Leeds, LS13 1EQ
Join us for a Canal walk, finding and collecting items as we walk. We will then picnic by the canal and do some nature crafts and games. For further info please email: kirsty.ward@kvdt.org.uk
The activities will be led by KVDT staff and supported by the Canal and River Trust. Children must be accompanied by a parent/carer.
Some tickets include a vegetarian packed lunch provided or you can bring your own. Drinks are not provided so please make sure you bring some. Unfortunately, we can’t cater for other dietary needs or preferences.
The majority of the route is suitable for buggies but we do cross a narrow footbridge to the picnic area. KVDT staff will be able to lift your buggy across the bridge if needed.
We may have to cancel if the weather is too bad. We will email on the day if we do need to cancel.
We will meet at 11am outside The Abbey Inn, Pollard Lane. There is plenty of free roadside parking on Pollard Lane. It is a 10 minute walk along the canal from Kirkstall Forge Train Station. You can also take the 33 bus from Kirkstall to Regent Ave, New Roadside and walk down Newlay Lane. A 10 min downhill walk there but quite steep uphill on the way back.
Please come dressed in appropriate clothing for outdoor activities and walking. You may want to use some insect repellent.
For those with lunch included, you will still need to bring your own water bottles or other drinks.
