We’ve had a bit of a change around at Hollybush and the way we run the majority of our courses is now different.
It is well documented that taking part in creative activities and learning new skills can support positive mental health and wellbeing and to help you with this we will now be running three Health and Wellbeing projects a year, one each term. As part of a project you will be able to choose to do up to two courses and at least one volunteering session. The aim of the projects is to help you feel better, improve your health and wellbeing, get more active, meet new people, and develop new skills and knowledge at the same time.
The project is ten weeks long. We will have a couple of 121 meetings with you (at the start and end of the project) and there will an introduction session where you will get to meet everyone who is on the project. The project will only have a maximum of fifteen people attending. Fees for the courses within a project depend on your circumstances and which course you choose, it may be free if you are in receipt of certain income related benefits. At the end of the Project we will help you decide what you would like to do next.
The first project is call Make A Difference and as part of it you will be able to choose from the following three courses:
Alongside these courses, you will join our team of volunteers and benefit from Hollybush staff support while you take part in one of the following activities such as Green Gym, Practical Conservation, or helping in our Community Café.
