Join us on Sunday 25th May, 10:30am-3:30pm for our favourite event of the year, the Hollybush Plant Sale, this year with the added excitement of a Rhubarb Fayre.
At the plant sale this year we will have hundreds of plants to buy, lovingly tended by the Hollybush Project and Health and Wellbeing Teams. This includes a whole range of edible and ornamental plants, and even a few trees and shrubs.
As many of our rhubarb projects come to an end this year, we’ll also be running a Rhubarb Fayre on the day to celebrate everyone’s favourite pink fruit… that’s really a vegetable! We’ll have lots of rhubarb-themed things to get involved with on the day when you’ve finished buying plants. These include;
• A rhubarb exhibition
• The first public screening of the film A Rhubarb Odyssey by Amanda Prosser
• Lots of kids’ activities from Friends of Hollybush, including a rhubarb trail in the garden and the chance to make a rhubarb pie hat
• A marketplace of rhubarb produce and themed crafts
• The launch of the Hollybush Rhubarb Recipe Book, created with recipes shared by visitors and volunteers over the year.
Plus, if you’re a bit crafty, bring your sewing kit along and help us make a community-created rhubarb wall-hanging for permanent display in the Roundhouse.
