Armley: SHEnanigans Off Again – Wild Camping

And when we say ‘wild’ – we mean wild but in a wonderful way! We have exclusive use of a very basic but beautiful remote campsite, about a 30-minute drive from Armley. Yes there’s a toilet and running water but no showers and we’ll be cooking on camping stoves/BBQs.
If you’ve never been before, we’re here to offer advice on what you’ll need and if you’ve not got kit or transport, don’t worry- we’re a really resourceful bunch so we’ll sort it!
Plan is:
Friday: leaving late afternoon to the site, set up; get firepits on; have something to eat and relax. Knowing us, there’ll be a few games planned and plenty of chats and giggles too! Please note – we’ll have a separate area for anyone wanting some peace and quiet.
Saturday: Breakfast then we’re popping off to Shibden Boating Lake for a play on the
water in rowing boats; picnic; wander round before heading back to the site to prepare tea. Team summer sports early evening for those that want to join in and/or there’s a pub that sometimes has a ‘turn’ on 5 minutes’ walk away. Back to camp then chill by the fire side again.

Cost is £40 for the weekend and includes site fees; parking at Shipley; rowing boat hire; transport and food. Alcoholic drinks and snacks are not included so please bring your own. We have very limited free places available depending on how many come/can pay. Please direct message Lizzie if you want to confidentially discuss.
We do require a £20 non-refundable deposit please as we’ll be paying for camp fees and food up front. We need this by 13th August. Full amount payable by Sept 1st and our coordinator will send you the bank details.
