Celtic are back! In recognition of Farsley Celtic returning to its original name, club officials are opening the doors to everyone in the community for Saturday’s historic game.

Their first Evo-stik Division One North match of the season sees the visit of Kendal Town on Saturday 15th August (3pm) – and this game will be completely FREE to anyone attending.

The celebration day marks the return of the Celtic name after a five-year absence and gives chance for the local community, as well as those further afield, to come and enjoy the club that was recently voted Evo-stik Northern Premier League Community Club of the Year 2015.

The move marks the end of what’s been a turbulent time for the club, which became Farsley AFC following the original Farsley Celtic’s financial demise five years ago.

The gates will be open from 1pm and pre-match activities will include 5-a-side bubble football on the main pitch, as well as seeing CEO Josh Greaves and Head of Media Rob Winterbottom sheared as they ‘brave the shave’ in aid of McMillan Cancer Support.

Farsley Celtic Junior teams will be in attendance and will be showing of their achievements to the crowd at half time.
