Police have targeted speeding car drivers on a problem stretch of road in Bramley.
Officers deployed a portable “Smiley SID” (Speed Indication Device) on Broad Lane in a bid to encourage drivers to slow down.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said the aim was to warn drivers’ awareness over their speed and added:
“A number of vehicles were seen to be driving over the 30mph limit and warning letters will be issued.”
The Dispatch has reported on road safety concerns on Broad Lane in the past and MP Rachel Reeves named Broad Lane as a concern after calling for action over dangerous roads in West Leeds.
