Bramley Community Centre is opening its doors to everyone this Saturday (23 March) to drop in for performances, fun and food, writes Fran Graham.

The open day, which runs between 11am-4pm, is a chance for people to see the space inside the centre, and dream up new activities and events to host here that help Bramley’s communities.

Visitors are invited to drop-in for performances by local children who learn to streetdance at the centre with DAZL; and a live music concert by the Citizens Orchestra, a community orchestra for retired people.

You can also meet the Bramley History Society, who will be gathering stories, memories and photos of the centre in times past; and find out more about Bramley Elderly Action who manage the centre, and their activities at the centre, or how to volunteer and get more involved.

Bramley Grows will be serving up hot dogs for those who want to earn a free lunch by making a motivational Bramley badge or planting some seeds to help brighten up the front garden.

Open day runs 11am-4pm, DAZL are on at 12 noon and Citizens Orchestra at 2.15pm.
