Armley Primary School to get new roof

Pupils at Armley Primary School will have a new rood to look forward to when they return to school after the summer holidays.

Leedws City Council has awarded a £122,000 contract to Regent Maintenance Ltd in the sum of to carry out roofing works at the school in Salisbury Terrace.

The work, which will start on 22 July with completion by 30 August 2019, is part of a £6.5 million package of improvements for schools across Leeds.

Last month the school received an ‘inadequate’ Ofsted report. The headteacher promised swift improvements following inspectors’ claims that the quality of education pupils receive had .deteriorated significantly’.
