A Leeds property developer has found the ideal ‘home’ for its latest fund-raising initiative – helping disadvantaged youngsters across Yorkshire.

For every reservation made before Christmas at its Woodhall View development in Pudsey, Berkeley DeVeer pledged to donate £1,000 to the Children in Need appeal.

And now the charity’s mascot, Pudsey Bear, is in ‘seventh heaven’ after the Wetherby-based developer secured no fewer than seven reservations – translating into a £7,000 boost to the appeal’s work.

Managing director Daniel Newett said:

“Pudsey Bear gets his iconic name from his creator, who was originally from the market town of Pudsey, right on the development’s doorstep.

“Because Woodhall View is in Pudsey, it made sense for us this time to throw our weight behind Children in Need.”

Woodhall View features 52 bespoke properties, each with three, four or five bedrooms.
