When Kirkstall Deli Market started out as a small community event five years ago, little did organisers realise that it would turn out to be such a big do in Leeds’s thriving food and craft calendar.

This weekend’s deli event at Kirkstall Abbey attracted thousands of visitors, drawing people from all over west Leeds and beyond to over 40 stalls run by independent traders.

The event, which is held on the last weekend of the month, is run by a small but dedicated band of volunteers. Next markets will be in October and November.
