Armley

Spring Nature Walk at Gotts Mansion – a family nature walk over an undulating mile for families, using the senses to feel, smell, hear and see the first signs of spring, 10am -12pm on Saturday March 31st. The event is free but booking is essential and children must be accompanied by an adult. Suitable for children aged four or over. Contact claire.rogers@leeds.gov.uk or telephone: 07891277006.

At Armley One Stop Centre on Tuesday 3rd April there’s Eggspelliarmus; visit the Harry Potter exhibition and take part in Harry Potter themed arts and crafts between 2pm and 3.30pm. Sarah from the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust will be there to make willow wands and learn about herbology. This is a free event for ages six plus.

Just Talk holds its Easter Egg hunt on Easter Sunday at Gotts Park Golf Club at 2pm. There will also be stalls and games and an Easter bonnet competition. Entry is free for children and #1 for adults.

Bramley

The Abbey Inn on Pollard Lane hosts its Easter Egg Hunt and Easter games on Saturday March 31st between 2 and 4 pm. On the following Wednesday 4th April Cards or Die host an Easter Holiday special with board games for children and adults from 2pm to 7pm followed by adult games night with retro classics and modern favourites. Meanwhile on Easter Monday Ronnie the Rhino will be visiting Bramley Villagers Club for the Kids Easter Party. The party runs from 12.30pm to 4.30pm and entry is £1.50 per child. There’ll be games and prizes, kids entertainer, face painting, and a decorated egg and bonnet competition. Please call the club for tickets on 0113 2578571.

There are a number of events at Bramley Baths over the Easter weekend and Easter holidays.

There’s an Easter egg hunt with a difference, with eggs on land and in water, on Easter Sunday at 12pm. On Tuesday 3rd April there’s an underwater treasure hunt at 2.30pm. Find treasure and swap it for Easter Eggs! And on Wednesday 4th April there’s a Walk the Plank Egg and Spoon Special at 1.15pm. Defy the laws of physics and cross the water on a wobbly walkway while balancing your egg on your spoon! Details of all the activities at Bramley Baths can be found here.

On April 10th Bramley Library hosts Gaming Eggsperts. 7-11 year olds are invited to create their own computer games. It’s a free event but booking is necessary.

Farsley

The Rainbow Factory has a number of events for children of various ages over the Easter holidays.
April 1st and 2nd is the Easter Eggstravaganza with Peter Rabbit and the Easter Bunny for ages 2-5. April 3rd and 4th is the Mad Hatters Tea Party for ages four plus. And April 5th and 6th Paddington Goes on a Bear Hunt for ages One to four. There’s more information on all of these events here: www.rainbowfactorykids.com/easter.

Farsley Working Mens Club hosts Easter bingo on Thursday 29th March with giant Easter Egg prizes and big cash prizes. Doors at 7.30pm and eyes down at 8pm. On Sunday April 1st there’s the Kids Easter disco from 3pm till 5pm. Free entry for all members. Activities include face painting, an Easter egg hunt, Easter bonnet parade and games.

Kirkstall

Sneaky Experience host an interactive Peter Rabbit Easter Extravaganza at Kirkstall Abbey on Good Friday, a fifty minute theatrical adventure with the Beatrix Potter characters. Entry starts at £6.50 for ages 2 plus.

Kirkstall Leisure Centre invites you to Baby Boogie for ages four months to two years on Thursday 5th and Friday 6th April from 1pm to 2pm. Prices start at £2.10 and booking is advised. Then on Monday 9th April from 9.30 am to 10.30 am it’s a Family Adventure with a range of aquatic activities. Tickets are £7.50 per family (two adults, two children) and again booking is advised. At Kirkstall Bridge there are two free events on Good Friday. Smyths toy store is holding a free Easter egg hunt from 9am to 2pm on Saturday 31st March. Complete the hunt and receive a free Easter egg and bunny ears, plus the chance to win a trampoline. Over at Pets at Home there will be free small furries workshops, educating and informing kids about pet ownership. Ten places are available per workshop and you can see more information and book here.

For the adults there’s the famous Easter quiz night at the West End House on Thursday 29th March with Easter Eggs up for grabs as well as the usual prizes. They will also be serving Easter Sunday lunch between 12pm and 6pm, though booking is advised, as well as their usual menu over the whole Easter weekend.

On 7th April visit Nidderdale in the City at Kirkstall Abbey. There’ll be a farm play area, with alpacas and llamas, foraging walks, a climbing wall, stone sculptor, stick making and nature talks. This is a free event highlighting what Upper Nidderdale has to offer.

New Wortley

Pop along to New Wortley Community Centre’s Easter Party on Saturday, March 31 from 11am-3pm. The event promises egg hunts, egg painting, an Easter bonnet parade and lots more for the little ones.

Pudsey

Pudsey and Farsley Royal British Legion Branch will be honouring the 100th Anniversary of the Formation of the RAF on Sunday 1st April at 11.00 am at the Pudsey Cenotaph (please gather from 10.50 am). Branch Historian Damon Sugden will present a talk about Pudsey Community’s contribution to the RAF and RFC over the last 104 years. A short wreath laying and Act of Remembrance will follow.

Rodley

Aireborough Rotary Club invites you to a Grand Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday from 11am to 3pm at Rodley Nature Reserve. Each child who follows the map and completes the course will receive a reward! There’ll also be fairy craft, nature craft, tombola and games. Hot food and refreshments will be available. All donations from the event will go to Martin House Hospice.
