The planned opening date of the new Belgrave Retail Park development in Stanningley has been revealed – as well as confirmation of new stores on the site.

According to details on the website of chartered surveyors Rees Denton the former Belgrave Electrical Works site will open as Belgrave Retail Park in February next year.

Budget supermarket Lidl will have a 24,500 sq ft supermarket on the site, which has been empty for more than a decade.

It’s been confirmed Lidl will be joined by Home Bargains, Heron Foods, Greggs and Betfred and with deals in solicitors’ hands with Costa Coffee and Card Factory. The final 1,000 sq ft unit remains available to let.

It appears earlier plans to have a vets’ surgery on the site are no longer happening.

As reported in March, a planning application to build an extra store on the site was given the go ahead.

  1. Im all for new developments but this will cause more traffic on an already busy road, apart from the new roundabout and the pelican crossing how are they going to combat this.

  2. Hello
Please can I have the contact details for the new Costa on the Belgrave shopping site. I would like to contact them regarding a position.
    Thank you
