Pudsey Road: Police seek man in connection with number 4 bus sex assault

Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to identify following a sexual assault on a 16-year-old girl on a bus in West Leeds. 

The incident happened between 7am and 7.10am on Wednesday, April 26, on a Number 4 First Bus service travelling from Pudsey Road to Leeds city centre. 

The victim and the suspect got on the bus on Pudsey Road at the junction with Butt Lane. 

They were both sat on the back seat on the upper deck of the bus when the man was seen by other passengers touching the girl inappropriately. 

He was challenged and moved downstairs before getting off the bus. The driver was alerted and police were contacted. 
The suspect was described as white, aged in his early seventies, about 5ft 5ins tall, and of skinny build. He was wearing light blue jeans, a three-quarter length grey jacket with a cream collar and lining and a navy blue woolly hat. 

Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact Detective Constable Louise Steele of Leeds District Safeguarding Unit via 101 quoting crime number 13170186628 or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
