Police are continuing to appeal for help to trace a woman thought to have lived in the Burley area of Leeds in the late 1970s.

Officers want to speak to Katherina Gill. She is not missing and is not a suspect in a crime.

A previous appeal to trace Katherina was made in August last year but did not lead to her being found.

Since then officers have continued to try and find her but without success.

Very little is known about Katherina, although it is believed she would now be aged around 63 and that Gill was her birth or maiden name. She may have married or changed her name from Gill.

DS Siddall of West Yorkshire Police, said:

“It is unusual for us to issue an appeal like this but it is important we trace Katherina. I am appealing directly to Katherina or anyone who thinks they know her or knew her to get in contact.

“Likewise I am appealing to our many thousands of social media followers to help by sharing this appeal – it could help to make all the difference.”

It is quite possible Katherina may have moved out of West Yorkshire and could now be living anywhere in the country.

Call DS Siddall on 101.
