A former church building in Bramley could be turned into a Spar convenience store with car parking, if a planning application receives approval from the council.

Applicant James Hall and Company wants to transform the brick-built former Sandford Methodist Church building, off Broad Lane, into a new convenience store. The company is a wholesaler and distributor for Spar, serving over 540 stores in the North of England.

There will be 14 car parking spaces on the site.

  1. I think it is very good for the area, that site is being derelict for a while, so it is about time that a convenience store comes there.

I support their application to go through.

  2. I don’t think the area needs another shop at all. There is plenty of local shops and supermarkets are near by already. Especially not a pricey spar.

Hi i have passed this property many times as i live in the area and it is run down and derelict, children have damaged the building in and out even setting it on fire.

I am interested in developing this premises but don’t know who owns it or how to contact them.

Hope to hear back from you

    Kind regards
