For 50 weeks of the year Hollybush runs a varied set of environmentally-based activities for adults. Some are targeted at certain groups but most are open to everyone, writes JOHN PRESTON.
Our minibus will take you out to work on sites across West Yorkshire planting trees, mending footpaths or building wildlife areas. Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday meet 9.15, back 4 -4.30pm. Occasional volunteers or regulars most welcome.
In woodwork, bushcraft, gardening, natural crafts and practical conservation. Four or five weekly whole or half-day sessions. Courses run every school half-term. Build a garden bench, learn to light a fire without matches, make the most of your own garden or window ledge, have a go at drystone walling there is plenty to choose from. Wildlife and countryside walks weekly sessions
Voluntary staff who help staff deliver sessions, supporting those less abed and skills, on all of the above activities and the onsite café (Tuesday to Friday 10.30 to 3pm).
