Alternative community panto at its best takes to New Wortley stage

New Wortley Drama Group has been working hard for three months to bring you the best in irreverent, offbeat, alternative community panto called Gingerella, an Escape from Wortley Prison, writes TIM DAWTRY.

Please come along and enjoy on Dec 8th and 9th at the New Wortley Community Centre.

Spaces are limited – so book your ticket early! So what’s it all about?

The Evil Ugly sisters have locked up the beautiful Gingerella in Wortley Prison. But coming to her rescue are New Wortley’s fearless crimefigthing super hero due – Stella and Atrois. What could possibly go wrong?

There will be special guest appearances from Anne Robinson, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, The Fairy King Elvis, The kids from WASP, Willow the Talking Tree and Wortley the Dog. Terrible crimes! Criminal puns! Breathtaking action! Heartbreak! Revolution! Jokes about poo! We’ve got it all! Don’t miss out on this spectacular community panto.

Tickets are available in advance from New Wortley Community Centre.

Adults £3, kids £1, under fives free. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
