2109

Rodley Nature Reserve is built on a flood plain – and when the Boxing Day floods hit much of the area was left submerged under several feet of water. Two clean-up events have been organised on New Year’s Eve (Thursday, December 31) at 10am and on Monday, January 4 from 8am-3pm. The reserve will not re-open until January 6th at the earliest. Here are some of the details provided by the folks at the Reserve…

Please come and help us with our floods clean up days!

Start at the Visitor Centre – arrive and leave as and when you need to.

We will be providing hot drinks and snacks – please let us know if you are planning to attend so we have an idea of numbers.

Come in good footwear or wellies and warm clothes, we have gloves and equipment.

Drive down the road to park at the end near the Visitor Centre – usual car park is flooded.
