Dozens of new Kirkstall Matalan jobs are now being advertised.
A Matalan spokeswoman said the retail giant’s new store at Kirkstall Retail Park, off Savins Mill Way, is due to open in late March and would be creating 39 sales assistant jobs. It replaces the store currently occupied by Intersport Sporting Pro.

It’s understand in the region of 42 new jobs will be created in total.
Planning permission involving the extension of the existing mezzanine level – by 494 sq metres to an overall total of 1,438 sq metres – was approved last month by Leeds City Council planning officers.
The full planning application submitted to Leeds City Council can be found here. There were no objections to the proposals.
As reported by The Dispatch last July, Leeds City Council also approved proposals by Morrisons for two new retail units – both with mezzanine levels – at the retail park. The new units will be directly to the north of Matalan.
Matalan’s arrival in Kirkstall was revealed by The Dispatch in September.
