Mumbler in Leeds & Wharfedale turns one on the 1st of July – and to celebrate we’re holding a free family fun day at Goals in Kirkstall, writes Deb Ward.

Mumbler is Leeds hyperlocal parenting community. Run by three local mums, it consists of websites where families can find out everything that’s going on in their local area as well as Facebook chat groups and events where they can talk to other parents and carers in the local area and meet new friends.

There are four mumbler communities across Leeds; North Leeds Mumbler, West Leeds Mumbler, South East Leeds Mumbler and Wharfedale Mumbler. Since their launch 12 months ago, the websites have attracted over 100,000 users and over 5,000 people have joined the chat groups.

To thank everyone who has used Mumbler in the last the year, the team have decided to put on a Free Family Fun Day at Goals in Kirkstall.

Mumbler’s Birthday Bonanza Free Family Fun Day runs on 1st July 12pm-4pm at Goals, Redcote Lane, Kirkstall.

It will bring together a huge range of activities and entertainment for children of all ages to enjoy – showcasing all that Leeds has to offer in the children’s activity sector.

We’re really excited to be putting on this fun day for families in Leeds. Whilst running Mumbler we’ve met so many amazing businesses that provide activities and entertainment for children.

We knew we could create a really fantastic day for local families, by bringing them all together in one place.

We’ll have something going on for everyone, from music and dancing taster classes for babies and toddlers to a climbing wall, sports coaching and even a mobile gaming van for the older ones.

We want everyone to come down to Goals Leeds and enjoy themselves.

We’ve taken over all of their pitches and their newly refurbished event space and they’ll be providing a BBQ on the day too.

Entry is completely FREE as are most of the activities and entertainment thanks to our sponsors Goals Leeds, Avery Walters Solicitors, Moores Estate Agents, Simon Benn Children’s Happiness Coach and all of the local companies taking part”.
