The local and cricketing community has rallied around a Kirkstall cricket club which was targeted by burglars for the 14th time in two years.
As reported yesterday, volunteers at Kirkstall Educational Cricket Club were devastated yesterday morning to find that their clubhouse had been ransacked.
Their plight immediately hit social media site Twitter – and since then Pre Coach Cricket Academy have offered to buy the 162-year-old club a CCTV system to help secure their Queenswood Drive base.
One cricket fan has set up a JustGiving page and is hoping to raise £200 to support the stricken club.
