Help shape the future of Armley Helping Hands

An exciting opportunity has arisen for compassionate individuals to help shape the future direction of Armley Helping Hands, writes Dawn Newsome.

We are looking for dynamic individuals to join our volunteer Board of Trustees.

You’ll be using your skills and experience to guide the direction of the charity through exciting times, securing the governance of the organisation, contributing to its strategic future and acting as an ambassador for all aspects of our work by support older people living in Armley & Wortley district of Leeds 12.

The Board of Trustees meet six times a year.

Armley Helping Hands are particularly interested to hear from people with a background and experience in caring for older people, Service users, family members of service users or people living in Armley and Wortley district of Leeds 12.

No experience is directly required and you do not have to have held a trustee role previously – knowledge you have gained from other sectors or roles may be just as useful, and you can be sure that you will enjoy a solid induction and learn new skills as we will offer training and support as a member of our Board.

We are holding an Open Events as an opportunity to introduce you to our important work, to meet current Trustees and to find out more about what’s involved. The dates and times are:-
Date Tuesday 6st June – 6pm to 8pm at Strawberry Lane Community Centre, Strawberry Lane, Armley, Leeds, LS12 1SF
