Runners of all ages are expected at the Pudsey 10k on Sunday. The oldest runner for the annual event will be 76-year-old Robin Brown,  who has  travelled from Bedale every year since 2007 to compete in the race. He said:

“I started running at the age of 68, having had a 50-year break since running cross country at school and started secret training and entered the race to surprise my son, who lives in Pudsey.

“I loved the course so much – including the pull up through Black Carr Woods and Tyersal Lane – that I just keep coming back year after year!”

Robin completed the tough course last year in an amazing 65 minutes.

The race starts on Sunday (june 21) at Pudsey Cenotaph.
