Can you make a difference by helping to improve Armley Park and Gotts Park?
The Friends of Armley and Gotts Park group aims to make the parks a better place – and is asking for local people to join its committee and help improve the parks for all.
A spokesperson for the group, which started just over a year ago, said:
“As with all new projects you start a committee and people join with the best intentions but then leave due to lack of time and head space.
“We need more committee members from the local community, we have a team of 8 of us who have committed to quarterly meetings, running the Sunday Socials and forming sub groups to look at different plans that we are hatching to make the park better.
“If you have some time to spare to get involved and stay involved (this is more than just turning up to meetings, but putting your hand up to make it happen) then please get in touch, we want 12 ideally, but a few more would be great!”
