People from all over Armley can get their hands dirty at a special event and create beautiful hanging baskets to brighten up their community.
Local group the Armley Common Right Trust is running the special event in Moor Top Park on May 30 from 10.30am. Residents can create their own hanging basket for free.
Trust chairman David Boutle told a meeting of Armley Forum last night that although the baskets are free, any donation would be welcome.
Armley Common Right Trust was established after the Enclosure Act of 1794. Since then the residents of Armley have voluntarily maintained the common land held by the Trust.
