Ossett Town 2 Farsley Celtic 5

Farsley Celtic won their sixth consecutive game as they comfortably defeated Ossett Town 5-2 at Ingfield, writes Thomas Ritchie.

Farsley started the brighter and had the first clear-cut opportunity as man of the match Lewis Nightingale saw his shot well saved by Ossett keeper Sam Leigh.

A good while later Farsley created another opportunity as the diminutive Nightingale turned on the edge of the box, before his rasping shot was well saved by Leigh. Moments before half-time Farsley took a deserved lead as Paddy Miller headed home Lewis Sugden’s pinpoint corner.

Farsley doubled their lead on the hour mark when Paul Walker played the ball to Lewis Nightingale who played a delightful one two with Leon Osbourne before slotting home.

Just minutes later The Celts made it three as Miller played a delightful through ball to Osbourne, he then slipped in Paul Walker who curled the ball into the bottom corner.

Soon after, Chris Howarth crossed to Lewis Nightingale who tapped home to score his second and Farsley’s fourth of the afternoon. Ossett at last got on the scoresheet as the ball fell to substitute David Brown who fired home.

Ross Daly then made it a five star display as he played a one two with Osbourne before firing home. However, Ossett did score another consolation as Josh Moore fired home from the edge of the box.
