A local businessman has applied for retrospective planning permission for a new shop front to his proposed new off-license.

Aman Pandit has applied for a new shop front and hopes to alter the building to add a self-contained first floor flat and new first floor side window at 23 Nora Place, Bramley. Building work had already started on the site.

As reported by The Dispatch earlier this month, Mr Pandit has also applied for a licence to sell alcohol at the proposed Bargain Booze shop, which is the site of the former Co-op Chemists.

Leeds City Council received an application to sell alcohol daily between 6am and 11pm.

It’s understood the licensing application has received a number of objections, including a petition with more than 200 names concerned about a new outlet selling alcohol in the area.
