Volunteers are needed to help move a mountain of grass cuttings at a special clean-up in Bramley Baptist Church graveyard later this month.

The cuttings have accumulated over a number of months and are a result of the work of a small group of volunteers who cut the grass and maintain war graves in the cemetery every fortnight.

Help: The grass mountain in Bramley Baptist Churchyard needs moving.

One of the volunteers, John Barker from Rodley, said there are about 400 bags of grass that will need moving out of the cemetery and said everyone was welcome to attend and help out. He added:

“We’re also hoping to run tours around some of the war graves, so it should also be a good opportunity to find out more about some of the people from Bramley who gave their lives for their country.”

The clean-up will take place on Saturday, March 25, between 11am-5pm. Confirm your attendance – or get more details – by emailing bramleywm@aol.com.
