Shop owners in Armley celebrated Small Business Saturday by taking part in a festive shop front contest.

Organised by the Armley Town Team, an initiative to improve Armley’s town centre, the Best Dressed Window competition saw a number of businesses decorate their shop fronts with CHristmas trees, lights and garland.

The winning trophy was presented to Lauren Adams of Canine & Co pet boutique and dog grooming.

Judges were Armley councillor Alice Smart, West Leeds Dispatch editor John Baron and Peter Mudge from Leeds City Council.

Small Business Saturday is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages customers to ‘shop local’ and support traders on local high streets.
